APG has installed the glass curtain wall and aluminum panel systems on many of our buildings over the years, but it wasn’t until the Law School Center we designed for Quinnipiac University that I met Gary Rooke and got a first-hand understanding of how thorough, skilled, and creative he and his team were. Gary even solved the creation of our 50ft. tall metal and glass “nanotube” for the science building we designed for Southern Connecticut University. On that project, he and his team also did a masterful job with a very complex accordion shaped curtain wall and aluminum panel system that had numerous types of curved-top louvers and mitered sun screens. Of course, I turned to Gary and APG when it came time to build my home, which had expansive glass walls overlooking the Connecticut River and an all-glass hipped roof over the dining room. We were required to design for Miami-Dade County hurricane force winds, and Gary developed all of the details including a series of beautiful glass fins to stiffen the 9ft. high by 25’ long glass panels against the high winds. It all still stands, has never leaked, and is exquisitely beautiful. Gary and his team at APG are simply the best in the business.”
